Statistically significant variables in the study were days of hospitalization, age, total surgery time, docking time, and closure time.
Complications were recorded in 14 cases out of 105 total procedures.

The series included 76 general surgery procedures and 29 urological procedures.

There is an important difference in learning curves between complex and basic robotic procedures, with colorectal surgeries requiring more time than cholecystectomy and pyeloplasty.
The robotic surgery program at the institution ran from 2021 to 2023.
Pyeloplasty is considered a complicated surgery requiring very detailed, slow movements and careful identification of structures.
One surgeon in the program preferred urological procedures including pyeloplasty, while the other surgeon focused more on colorectal procedures.
The difference in surgeon subspecialty focus (urological vs. colorectal) contributed to differences observed in the study.
